This is Mr. Kayode Moses; a man who came to our office two months ago seeking for help, he is a graduate of Accounting and finance who lost his job last year and has had to live in penury. The unemployment set him back and made him sad; not being able to find a means to feed regardless of the fact that he was a graduate.
He came to our office and we gave him some counseling to remind him to have faith in himself and continue to work hard and remain truthful. We promised to assist him and help him secure a job, which we did.
Mr. Moses now works at a telecommunications company in Ikeja, he has a responsibility which motivates him to go to work and make money for himself. With the motivation and little assistance he received from the Charity City Project, he was able to have faith in himself and his abilities and show confidence even in defeat.
We bought him some clothes and shoes so he could have something to wear and look smart for work. We also provided accommodation for him close to his work place so he does not have to spend all his hard earned money on transportation but rather on feeding and future saving.
We understand that there is a high rate of unemployment and poverty in Nigeria but the question is what have you done about this situation? A lot of people roam the streets hopeless and hungry and they need your assistance, we can all do something in our own little way to help the unemployed youths around us by showing them love and guidance. The government alone cannot solve our problems, we as individuals need to help.
As humans we get carried away in life focusing on ourselves and forget to look around just for a moment to see what is happening around us. If we can just make little time and help those in need and show love to our neighbors, which is the commandment of God. With little assistance and motivation you can help those in need around you become self sustained and together we can help end poverty in the world.
This is to remind us as that as Nigerians we must be united to make our country a better place. Together, we can create a world where nobody lives in lack! #charitycityproject
