Mrs Mulikatu Amidu, 65 yrs old, had a reason to smile recently, as a Volunteer Group from Orkney, Scotland-Making Noise Group, presented to her the sum of N20, 000 to support her petty jewelry business
Mrs Mulikatu lost her husband in 2004 to an illness that cost them their life savings before the man finally died. Since then, life has been turbulent as she struggled to provide for herself and her 3 children without support from anybody. Although her children are grown up now, but none of them is financially stable yet to cater for her needs. At 65, she still hawks her wares – Jewelry, underwear from place to place everyday just to earn a living.
And so it was like a dream when she received N20, 000 to boost her petty business. Her joy knew no bounds. She was overwhelmed with tears of Joy. She was full of appreciation to our friends from Scotland-Making Noise Group, who remembered her in her moment of distress
