Why the Free Food Kitchen Event?

One of our laudable charitable projects among others, is the FREE FOOD KITCHEN that we organize occasionally to feed those that are hungry in our society.

According to global statistics, Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That’s about one in nine people on earth. The vast majority of the world’s hungry people live in developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished.

Coming home to Nigeria, we have just overtaken Indian, from recent statistics, as the country that has the poorest people in the world, with over 80 million people living on less than $1 a day. Many people in Nigeria go to bed hungry. It has become apparent that the government alone cannot solve the problem of hunger. All hands need to be on deck to combat this social menace

The aim of this project therefore, is to raise awareness on the need for individuals and organizations to get actively involved in the cause of eradicating hunger from our world by showing love and providing food for those that are hungry around us. .

In essence, what we are advocating using this project is called the Love- Approach, which will greatly prove effective in solving the hydra- headed social problem of hunger. When each one of us makes a serious personal commitment to feed just one person a day, definitely the problem of hunger will be seriously abated.
